La de daaa…..

Author: Mademoiselle  //  Category: Bloody Hell

It’s been while since me last post. I’ve one Hell of a week!!! Or rather one hell-of-a-day!! Nn the wednesday just gone, was the deadline for one of my major projects. I had been wrking diligently all along since we started it, but various things have happened that got in my way, both my fault and not.

My fault;

  • Being confused about what the efff I was actually meant to be doing for this project, even though I roughly knew what was expected of me (by reading the brief - helps doesn’t it?) I kept changing my mind because I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right. And my tutors, however nice / nicer than the dragon who was my tutor on my last course, didn’t really help that much either.  -_-’
  • Changing my mind a few times about the focus of my project (we were a buyer for our chosen Brand/ retailer, and had to choose their competitors, justify it, and pick a product and make 10 spec drawings!!)
  • Oh and work is becoming an inconvinience. dont get me wrong I am thankful to have a PT job what with the credit crunch and being a student, and I only work 4 hrs cos they won’t give me more time when I can actually work, but its the day I work thats a bugger. Some group meetings for the Tuesday project were held on wednesdays, then it was the deadline then this big fashion lecture held all day in town by industry people , also on Wednesday. so… something has to give.

NOT my fault;

  • Then my lovely mum decides to buger off to HK for a month, and won’t be back, coincedentally, until the day before my deadline.
  • Which meant I was in charge of the house, and of taking care of the oldies. Even though I had previously lived away from home for 2 half years, and spent 6 months living and working abroad, I still felt that I had to proove myself that yes, I was capable of cooking for oldies (Duh! How else did u expect me to survive on my own away from home?! Of course I can take care of myself. idiots.) This meant around 2 hrs of each day was spent preparing and cooking dinner for olds. Because they’re stuck in their bloody ways, are fussy, wont try new things which are more nurtitious for them than the shit they just adore (salty fish, preserved prunes and dried winter melon anyone?) while initially I didnt mind doing this, and time-wise I was fine, towards the last week nearer to my deadline, I found that I was behind on coursework and taking so long to prepare dinner was beginning to become a strain.
  • For fucks sake - HOW difficult is to buy a cd album in mando?! Mum asked me if there was anything I wanted - I thought carefully, since she wouldnt know what the effff is was that I wanted, even if I printed out a picture of it comlete with english and chinese text!!! no reallly!!! I wanted Jay Chou’s new album,  see below;

    And what happens? She comes back with some shit with dodgey pics of Jay Chou on it, SO  NOT HIS CURRENT ALBUM!!! I checked on yesasia.com……. indeed the one pictured here is no longer availabe, buggers, but some other new thing is, which is the one I got. turns out to be his new album, with traditional dodgey mv’s from a by-gone era and….. chinese text. It’s a fucking karaoke cd. >.< !!!!!!!

    Thought my mum would have the sense to buy it from HK, NOT Main-effing hippy-land china!! At least they’ll give you pirate copies in HK, but china?! Who knows what the heck they’ll give you?!?!?! Thought the cd+cover quality was more than shite….. SIGH…… oh and I thnk I asked/wrote down for her another aritst that I wanted, aska yang? But hell no…. she comes back with some new hilly billy who’s apparently the new ‘IT’ boy in mando. He’s too classical shit chinese for my taste. Not even CLOSE to aska yang.
