Feb 26. 2009. Headache central.
Well… this week I’ve been getting a headache over two of the projects we have been brifed on last week; Tuesday’s project is about managing a brand and how to market it. Almost everyone was in a panic about which option to choose, as there were three to choose from; find out how you can diversify a brand by creating a new product for them to sell. More about that later. Monday’s project is about Global Sourcing, and part 1 is finding a retailer, pick 5 products in a product area and spec them up. I was shocked to discover that HoF don’t stock Diesel womenswear - didn’t bother to check Men’s or sales but I don’t think they existed either - so now what?! I thought. Then when I saw the HK girls they told me that the Diesel shop in town’s packed up!!! Arrghh headache! Another classm8 said she could try taking lots of pics of Diesel jersey wear (we’re both doing same retailer, same product area…. whoopy doo…) and since we were in same tutorial group our tutor said she doesn’t mind ’some collaboration’.
My mission for today was going to check if the Diesel store is still there. It was around… 3ish I think when I decided to go, and cos I could catch the next bus home if I wanted to, I was sooooo tempted to just go home. But something made me want to go check out the Diesel shop, as I’m pretty sure it was still there the last time I went; which was about 1-2 months ago. And it was still there!! =D SIlly HK girls must’ve got confused. I was in there for aaagggeeees doing “research” for the project. I tried on this dress I got form the sale rack to add to the “research” and it actually looked good on me. It was on sale so… I bought it. The guy who served me was really cute, kinda short but he had muscle and was cute to I’ll let him off. He was quite chatty for a sales guy, talking about the usual random chit chat. =P
Been to see Confessions of a Shopaholic with a few friends from uni - its such a funny film! You can kinda relate to some of the things, such as the ‘allure’ of buying something new and shiny, or when something just looks sooo gorgeous just makes you want to buy it. But in the film Rebecca (Isla Fisher) actually sees the mannequins talking to her, acting as sales assistants luring her to buy things. Dellusional, yup, but funny with a sprinkle of romance. The leading guy is kinda short, but very cute. =P
